FIGURES FOR UNITED STATES Washington. Oct. 1. The United States birth fate in 1943 exceeded the 3,000,000 mark for the first time in history according to the census bureau. Registered births were 2,935,171 and unregistered are estimated at 3 per cent, of the total or 88,000. Almost 75 per cent of the deliveries occurred in hospitals. Home births and those with midwives decreased slightly.
