FINE WITH SHOWERS IN RANGES Wellington, This Day. Situation: There is an anti-cy-clone over the Dominion-arid a low pressure trough approaching Southland from the west. The forecast to 5 p.m. Sunday is for moderate variable winds with northerly to north-westerly freshening to-morrow, weather fine but scattered showers developing tomorrow in the western ranges, some light frosts to-night and mild day temperatures. The further outlook is for showers in the ranges, elsewhere fair. Eleven and a half hours’ bright sunshine was added to Nelson’s total yesterday and to-day .he weather was again brilliantly clear and sunny with only a light sea breeze. A white frost was experienced in many parts of the town this morning and the minimum temperature at the Cawthron Institute Meteorological Station was 28.9 degrees —a frost of 3.1 degrees.
