PROVISIONAL ASSEMBLY DEMANDED Algiers, July 3. “A Provisional Assembly to govern the parts of the empire which are not under Axis domination is an imperative necessity,” says the de Gaullist newspaper “Combat.” “The Committee of National Liberation in its present constitution is a non responsible organism, in which personal dictatorship is merged with dictatorship by a committee. Insufficient steps have been taken to democratise the exercise of authority.”
