UNITED STATES AIR FORCE Washington, June 25. The United States Army air forces vill be increased by 115,000 planes this fiscal year General Arnold, Chief of U.S. Air Force, told the House Civil Service Committee. This would cost 36,000,000,000 dollars General Arnold said, asking for an additional 56,000 civilian personnel which he would make full use of, thereby releasing fighting men for the front line. —P.A.
