MURCHISON
SUCCESSFUL PATRIOTIC BAZAAR A very successful bazaar organised by the Murchison Patriotic Committee was held in the Oddfellows Hall. The function was a district patriotic effort, the six separate stalls being arranged and stocked*' by different parts of the Murchison district. The bazaar was a decided success, the sum of £139 4s 8d being realised during the afternoon and evening. Out of this amount the expenses amounted to only £1 10s 2d. Takings for the various stalls and sideshows were as follows: Tutaki £24 7s Id; Six-Mile £24 7s sd; Town £3l 13s lOd, Matiri £6 10s 3d, Four River Plain £ll 12s 6d, Owen £1 15s Id, Door Takings £5 11s Od, Afternoon Tea and Supper £2 18s Od, Raffle, Coal, etc., £l2 0s Od, Amusements £lB 9s 6d.
