NAZI BURGOMASTER BAD INSURAN E RISK
London. April 26. One of the und rground newspapers published in Brussels says that Grauls, burgomaster of Brussels, and his aidermen, all of whom were appointed by the Germans, received so many threatening letters that they decided to insure their lives. They applied to a Belgian company, but it considered the risk too great. Grauls then applied to the agent of a German company, who shook him sorrowfully by the hand and showed him the way out. Underground newspapers published in Belgium are collecting gifts for relatives of the Gestapo’s victims and for patriots sought by the German police. Gifts include ration coupons, as well as money and clothing.
