Commenting on the R.A.F.’s recent raids on western Germany. “Westfalische Zeitung” says; “A few days after the very heavy raid on Bochum and before we had managed to bury the victims and were still busy assisting the homeless, the flood from the destroyed dam caused endless misery and terrible destruction in other part« of the region. We face to-day the fact that the whole of the Westphalia region is affected somehow or other by these catastrophies.”—P.A. CASUALTIES AT RENNES London, May 31. Paris radio stated that 170 were killed and 203 seriously injured at Rennes by the Flying Fortress raid on Sunday. The dead will be buried in a mass grave. All primary schools are closing as a precaution.—P.A.
