SENIOR APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS The following appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces were gazetted last night:— N.Z. STAFF CORPS Major (tdmp Lieut.-Colonel) W. R Burge. M.C.. Deputy QuartermasterGeneral (2). Army Headquarters, to be colonel (temp.). N.Z. PERMANENT STAFF Major and Quartermaster (temp.) G. P. O’Leary, is appointed assistant quar-termaster-general (ordnance). Army Headquarters, and is granted the temporary rank of lieut.-colonel and quartermaster. N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF Major G. T. Kellaway. 2nd N.Z.E.F., Assistant Quartermaster-General (1), Army Headquarters, to be lieut.-colonel (temp.). Major C. C. Mai’sack is appointed assistant quartermaster-general (3) (movements), Army Headquarters, and is granted the temporary rank of lieut.colonel.

Major F. C. Gleeson. M.M., Staff Officer, Mechanical Transport (Tech.). Army Headquarters, to be» lieut.colonel (temp.) Major O. D. Sutcliffe. W Exton. district Technical Mechanical Transport Officer. Southern Military District, to be major (temp ). REGIMENT OF ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY Major J. R. Page. D. 5.0.. to be lieut.colonel (temp.), and is attached to the bi’anch of the Chief of the Genei’al Staff, Army Headquarters. TERRITORIAL FORCE N.Z. Defence Engineer Service Corps. Peter Keller. A.M.I.C.E. (Lond.). to be major (temp.). The Hawkes Bay Regiment.—Captain J. W. Bain, to be major (temp.). N.Z. WOMEN’S ARMY AUXILIARY CORPS Miss Mary Stevenson to be junior subaltei’n. and is appointed officer in charge of an overseas section.
