SPRING FLOWERS

ANNUAL RICHMOND SHOW HIGH Q 1 \LITY OF EXHIBITS The Richmond Spring Flower Show was held in the Town Hall, there being a good attendance. An energetic committee had worked hard for some time, and their efforts were crowned with success. The Bishop of Nelson, the Rt. | Rev. P. W. Stephenson, praised the [ work of those responsible, and declared the show open. The cut blooms and decorative sections made an excellent display, while there were very good examples of fancy work and school work. The judges in all sections commented favourably on the quality of the exhibits. A singing competition during the evening proved very enjoyable, the quality of the singing being of a high order. Specimens of well-tinted photographs and well-executed miniature models in brass and copper, shown by V. F. Sigglekow, and a collection of shells, necklaces. etc., shown by Mrs Wilde, added greatly to the interest of the show.
