GAOL FOR RESERVIST Stating that he had a certificate issued at Dunedin in 1929 granting him exemption from military service on account of being permanently unfit. August Ronald Malcolm pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate*' Court. Wellington, yesterday, to a charge of failure to rc port as a reservist. Senior-Sergeant Paine .-aid that defendant was a conscientious objector, and his appeal had been dismissed. Defendant admitted, under examina lion, that he had been asked to call at military headquarters in connection wuh the medical certificate, but had failed to do so. Defendant was sentenced to two months' imprisonment -Mill .hard labour
