RANGE OF PRICES Christchurch, Dec. 3. At to-day’s Addington market smaller entries were forward in most sections, and prices were maintained for most classes of stock. Store sheep attracted a small entry, mostly ewes and I lambs. These made from 13s 6d to 15s all counted, with a few pens of i small from 10s 3d. Wether hoggets ; made to 18s Id. and ew'es to 19s 3d. Fat l lambs drew half the entry of a week ! ago,, most export lambs going direct to the works. 'Hie schedule has increased by a farthing a lb, and this was , reflected in the sale. Most of the lambs were over the first class in j weight, and went to the butchers. In | the fat sheep section 6000 were penned, !as against 5000 last week, with a much ! smaller proportion of ewes. These : were distinctly easier by Is to Is 6d a I head. Wethers were slightly easier, i Rates were still well above export schedule, and there were no purchases [ for export. Best wethers made from i 24s to 275, medium 20s to 23s 6d, best j ewes 18s 6d to 235, good 15s to 17s 6d, land light 10s to 12s 6d. i In the fat cattle section good quality i predominated. There was an entry of 420 head, and for this class there was a shade of firming on last week, medium jand inferior being about the same. Good j beef made from 37s to 40s, medium 34s to 365, and rough down to 25s a 1001 b. Best steers made from £ls 10s to £l9, medium weight prime £l3 to £ls, best heifers £l2 to £ls 7s 6d, medium £9 to £lO 10s, best cows £lO to £l3. A large entry of porkers in the fat pig section sold at unchanged values, but overweights were difficult to selL Prices ranged from £2 8s 6d to £3 3s 6d, average per lb 6’d to Bd.
