McKechnie) Lad> Mary's son, has no money but plenty coming to him when he marries; he tries to loathe the Australians but i: |just a little bit interested in spite oi himself. i Mrs Pidgcon 'Miss Betty Walter) anc her brother Tom Larcombe (Mr J Easther) are the Englishman’s idea oi typical colonials. Together with Mr: j Pidgeon’s daughter Una (Miss Audrey 'Wearing) they manage to horrify then two hostesses and their friend Lad} IStrawholme (Miss Greenwood). The butler (Mr William Simrn) anc the secretary (Miss Gretchen MeiGreevy) practically run the house. The . secretary, Miss Swain, helps Ladj Lilian with her newspaper column, ad vising maidservants about their com plexions and love affairs, while Lud low the butler, discusses sculptors anc the statue “Love” with great knowledge of his subject.
