R.A.F. ACTIVITY
OBJECTIVES IN SOUTH GERMANY ENKMY SHIPPING HARRIED FIGHTERS ESCORT BOMBERS (Rcc. 1.30 p.m.) Rugby, Oct. 15. Aircraft of the Bomber Command bombed objectives in southern Germany in bad weather last night. Four aircraft are missing from these operations. Coastal Command aircraft on night patrol attacked a medium sized enemy supply ship oil the Norwegian coast and another off the Frisian Islands. One aircraft of the Coastal Command is missing from davlight operations yesterday. Blenheims of the Bomber Command made attacks to-day on enemy shipping off the Dutch coast and on docks at Le Havre. R.A.F. fighters escorted the bombers in to the attack on Le Havre and destroyed five enemy fighters. Many bombs were seen to burst on quays and among shipping in the harbour. From these operations seven bombers and one fighter is missing.
