FOR THE BEREAVED ■ ’“The Lord is my Shepherd. Though j ' F walk through the valley of the sha- 1 , dew of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me: Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” (Psalm xxiii. j , verses 1 and 4.1 O God. our heavenly Father. Who j , art leading us through the changes I ( of time to the rest and blessedness I of eternity, be near to us to comfort ( and uphold. Make us to know that j , Thy children are p ecious in Thy sight. j . that they live evermore with Thee 1 and that Thy mercy endureth for ever, j , O God, give us of Thy strength that we may take up our live; more bravely , and seek to be more faithful in duty and more loving and helpful to others, j for the sake of those who are with us no longer here on earth: through Jesus « | Christ our Lord. Amen.
