Evidence has been given in London of the striking power of the giant { Stirling four-engined bombers w hich j have been taking part in the offensive , against Germany This bomber is 87 t >eet long and carries from three to { four times the bomb load of the Wei- j lington bomber It also has guns in ! the no«e. amidships and in the tail. ‘ The enormous fire power of these guns was shown recently when a Stirling shot down two Messerschmitts and c drove off a third after an attack on an \ enemy convoy.—U.P.A. *
