AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION

COMMITTEE’S MONTHLY MEETING The committee of the Automobile Association (Nelson) hold its monthly meeting last night. In the absence of the president, Mr C. M. Rout, who is in territorial camp, the patron, Dr. S. A. Gibbs, took the chair. The Patrol Oflicer. Mr N. M. McLaren, reported that he had visited Motueka, Takaka and Murchison areas. While in Murchison the Shenandoah and Maruia Saddle routes were inspected. These were in good order and bad not suffered from the recent rains. The patrol officer had been in attendance at Appleby and Brightwater during the floods and a number of motorists had been assisted on these occasions. The chairman reported on the halfyearly meeting of the South Island Motor Union in Christchurch, which was attended by Nelson delegates. Accounts totalling £BS 2s lid were passed for payment.
