MONTHLY MEETING NEW NURSE WELCOMED The monthly meeting of the Nelsoi Branch of the Plunket Society wa held in the Waimea County Counci Chambers. The president, Miss Nevin was in the chair. Accounts amounting to £7l 7s 2c were passed for payment. The resignation of Mrs R. S. Duncax from the position of secretary wa; accepted with regret and Mrs 11. J Robertson, a keen committee member was appointed as honorary secretary. Delegates were appointed to attenc the conference in Wellington on 15tl and Kith October. Ihe Mothers’ Committee will hold ar afternoon for Plunket mothers anc their babies. Grants from the Nelson City Counci and the Waimea County Council wen g atefully acknowledged. The annual collection is proceeding ar 1 members reported that they hac met with a ready response from the public and hoped to finish by ncx The president of the Tahuna sui. branch, Mrs Palmer, reported that the} were holding a concert at Tahuna ii aid of funds. The new nurse, Miss K. A. Robinson was welcomed to Nelson. She has beer Plunket Nurse in Greymouth for some years, and the committee feels fortunate in securing the services of such i highly qualified nurse. Grateful thanks were expressed tc. Miss B. Hooper and Miss D. Knapp for their services as relieving nurses.
