Goodman 61, 201, 28; R Thomas 15 43. 14. Officers for the cqtning season were elected as follows: President, Mr R Shnpson; vice-presidents, Messrs 11 W Prebble, F. Christall. M. L. Anderson' F Cooke. K. W. Black. C Reyn: I, and , D. Merritt; secretary and treasurer. Mr R. Wells; auditor, M. L. Anderson; delegate to association, Mr J. Hay. It was resolved to enter a team in the N.C.A. fixtures. Tin? club expressed appreciation of ! the interest taken by Mr Barnett in I preparing the wickets and practice I wicket at Victory Square. An old gentleman saw a group of: •small boys in an English park and asked one of them what game they were going to play. “Cricket,” said the youngster. “We’re going to play a game of England versus the West Indies.” “Arc some of you going to j black your faces, then?” asked the old j gentleman. "Oh, no!” said the young-j ster, very seriously, “some of us are j going to wash them.”
