FRENCH UPRISING FORECAST

SITUATION ABOMINABLE (Rec., 2.30 p.m.) Jersey City, Sept., 22. i Arthur Lesser who has lived in; France for the past 19 years and served j in the French Propaganda Department | for two governments, arrived on the i Excalibur to-day. Mr Lesser said he believed that there would be a general uprising in France within four months. Lack of food and the approach of winter would hasten revolt. Many were dying of hunger and the situation was abominable among the working classes. He expressed the opinion that German reprisals would accelerate rather than retard the uprisings.— U.P.A.
