AMERICAN SHIP SESSA i ARRYING SUPPLIES FOR ICELAND TWENTY-FOUR OF CREW SAVED 'Rec. 2.30.p.m.) Washington, Sept. 9. The State Depart lent announced that the ex-Danish ship Sessa taken over by the Maritime Commission and flying the Panama flag, was torpedoed and sunk 300 miles south-west of Iceland on 17 th August. Twenty-four members of the crew were saved, and three were lost, including an American sailor. The vessel was carrying supplies for the Iceland Government.—U.P.A.
