WITHOUT LOSS
LATEST R AJ. ATTACKS NIGHT OFFENSIVE CONTINUES KASSEL THE MAIN TARGET; (Roc. 10.0 n.m.> Rugby. Scpl. 0. Britain's heavy night offensive against Germany was continued last night and of the powerful { force engaged not a single plane J foil to enemy defences. The main attack was against Kassel where the extensive Henschel locomotive workshops are situated. These are of particular importance at present in view of the Russian campaign. Of nearly a hundred aircraft participating in the attack a j great majority report having | reached their objectives and not! a single aircraft is missing, although two members of one crew unfortunately lost their lives in an accident. The R.A.F. also attacked tar- ; gets at Munster and other objectives in western Germany as; well as docks at Cherbourg. During the night only a small num- j ber of enemy aircraft, operating singly have flown over coastal districts in south-eastern England and one was destroyed, states a communique. Bombs which dropped at a few widely, separ- ; ated points caused only minor damage I but at one place on the north-east ! coast a small number of casualties is j reported. German reports s; „ that British bombers were over central Germany ! again last night, their targets including i Berlin. This report is not mentioned in the British communique.
