"The executive wishes to congratul- , ate the Patriotic Committees through-1 . out the province on the success of their j etl'ort..." the report stated. "The task has not been an easy one and many difficulties and much ill-informed criticism has been met and overcome. 1 The most difficult task, however, still lies ahead and all our devotion.) patience and wisdom will be required ' if we are to administer the funds wehold to the best advantage. "The executive feels justified in ex-, pressing the opinion that the adminis 1 ’ iralion has so far been carried out j 1 carefully and with a reasonable degree i " of wisdom. Although mistakes are 1 ' hound to be made and actions taken on j which there will be differences of opinion. the public may be assured that the; fund will not be squandered and that) t every item of expenditure will receive! t careful scrutiny before it is passed.
