Senior-Sergeant Joyce said Radic was born at Dargaville of Dalmatia parents. Although he knew he ha been drawn in an overseas ballot, 1 had failed to collect the notification. 1 had said he was prepared to serve i New Zealand, but he would definite! not go overseas. "He will definitely go to gaol lor or month." said the magistrate. "He pai no attention to a summons from tl authorities, and no attention to a sun mpns from this Court." —P.A.
