WAKAPUAKA BRANCH j The July meeting of the Wakapuaka Branch of the W.D.F.U. was held at th * , Foresters’ Hall. It, was opened by nu-ni 'hers singing the National Anthem and i ceiling the Creed Mrs G. P Dixon presided over a very good attendance of members. A social interval was spent, while a very dainty afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Mrs. G. P. Dixon gave an intensely interesting report on the conference held in Wellington the previous week The winners of the points competition were Mrs East. 1 Mrs Rennet 2. “Something New From Something Old.” is to be the competition for next meeting. It is to be hold at the residence of Mrs A. Whitweli, Atawhai, and the roll call is, "A Suggestion for enlarging Branch Funds.” Members have been asked by the Navy League to knit garments for the men on the mine-
