CAN ENLIST IN AIR FORCE
MEN WITH MINOR FEET AFFLICTIONS Wellington, This Day. The Minister of Defence, Mr Jones in a statement to-day announced that the R.N.Z.A.F. is prepared to accept for enlistment as pilots, observers or gunners men who have minor afflictions of the feet—flatfeet or similar complaints. This refers only to those men who are within the air crew age and have the requisite educational qualifications. Many of those who have offered their services to the army and have been re- 1 jected for various types of foot trouble, consider that they are unsuitable for any branch of the services, but if these 1 men are otherwise physically fit they : will be considered for selection for air ' crew training.
