GERMAN SHIP HIT
BOMBING ATTACK OFF BREST (Rec 11.20 a.m.) Rugby, .June 18 A German supply ship of 1500 tons was bombed and hit by Coastal Command aircraft off Brest to-day. Making two attacks the pilot flew over the ship and dropped a quick stick of bombs He raw two bombs hit the ship amidships below the waterline and immediately afterwards a great gush of steam beh ned from the funnel as though the bombs had exploded in the engineroom —B.O. W FEW ENEMY RAIDS (Rec. 11.20 a.m ) Rugby, June 18. An Air Ministry and Ministry of Hon.e Security communique states: “A /erv small number of enemy aircraft flew over coastal areas in South Wales this afternoon Up to Bpm there were no . eports of any bombs having been dropped. One enemy bomber was destroyed last night in raids on this country ” —B.O. W.
