Sutherland, i speaking at the annual meeting of the ] Wellingto* Employers’ Association last “By having that,” Mr Sutherland | said, “we would all be united and I j think we would have a much greater j power in the control of the country j than we have at present. We would - not be able to be taken piecemeal and i beaten one after the other, as is being done at present.” Mr Sutherland said this offer had been made to the other organisations some time ago, but had not yet met 1 with any response from the manufac--1 Hirers or the chambers of commerce. ! The Emninvprs’ Federation had elected a committee to meet them, but had not yet succeeded in get tin a meeting. “I want the members of the Employers’ Association to know that the olive i branch has been held out by the Em- ! | 1 overs’ Federation.” he said, “and thai j * will continue to be held out. I will j not cease working till those organisa- . | tions are united into one camp.”
