ANNUAL DISTRICT SYNOD

The Annual District Synod of the Methodist Church will be held in St. John’s Schoolroom commencing tomorrow morning in ministerial session

at 10.30. The general public is invited to at tend the welcome to synod representaties on Tuesday at 7.45 p.m. Addresses will be delivered by the Rev. A. A Bensley, of Greymouth, and Mr A. J Handyside of Murchison. The Synod Communion service will be held in the church on Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock when the Rev. L. Gordon Hanna, of Hokitika, will deliver the pre-communion address. The presentative session will follow the communion service when the chairman of the district, the Rev. J. D. McArthur, will address the synod. The agenda covers a wide field of

church activity and enterprise, and will engage the attention of synod members until Friday next.
