VICTORY DEFEAT ATHLETIC In a low scoring game at the Botanies on Saturday Victory defeated Athletic by 10 runs on the first innings. Following are the scores: Victory Ist innings 32. (Mellor 23, McNamara 17). Bowling: Tarrant took four wickets for 38 runs, Hill six for 40. Victory, 2nd innings 105 (Groombridge 27, Drummond 40). Bowling: Tarrant took two wickets for 16 runs, Hill two for 57, Spencer three for 10, Simpson three for 13. Athletic Ist innings 72. (Moore 30, McLean 10). The game ended in a four point win for Victory.
