THE WEATHER

FAIR TO CLOUDY AND MILD The weather is predicted to be fair to cloudy and mild. The fine weather was interrupted by showers on Saturday afternoon and evening but they amounted to only one point in Nelson and none fell across the bay. The tempertures continued cool during the week-end, the maximum being only 64.7 degrees, while on Saturday night the temperature fell to within 2.6 degrees of a frost. Beautifully fine weather with a northerly breeze prevailed yesterday, the sun shining for 12 hours 50 minutes compared with 9 hours on Saturday. The barometer remained fairly steady. To-day was fine but overcast, with a light northerly breeze.
