PASSENGERS SERIOUSLY INJURED I United Press Association! WELLINGTON, This Day. • Severe injuries to his left eye and I leg and facial cuts were received on Saturday by Mr H. Wiblin, labourer, 7 Ngaio Street, Eastbourne, follow- j ing a collision between two cars on the main road at Silverstream, outside St. Patrick’s College, about 11.30 a.m. Both cars were proceeding to Trentham. Mr Wiblin was a passenger in one car which skidded across the road against a telegraph pole as a result of the impact. The car was considerably damaged. After receiving medical attention at Trentham Mr Wiblin was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. TAXI-DRIVER INJURED NEW PLYMOUTH, 22nd January. Because it was feared that moving him might aggravate his injuries, James Bicknall, a New Plymouth taxi driver, was left upside down in his vehicle till the ambulance arrived after a collision at New Plymouth to-day. He is suffering from two broken ribs, abrasions and shock. The taxi after the collision turned over twice, finishing on the hood. CAR STRIKES POWER POLE DANNEVIRKE, 21st January. About 11 o’clock last night a light car driven by Mr D. White. Rua Roa. left the main road near Dannevirke racecourse and crashed into a power pole. The car was extensively damaged and Mi White, the only person in the car, was admitted *o the Dannevirke hospital with injuries to his shoulder and shock. His condition is not serious.
