PRESIDENT’S DEATH [U.P.A.—Bv Electric Telegraph Copyrightl (Received 7th November, 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, 6th November. Mr William Pickford, aged 77, president of the Football Association, died at his home at Bournemouth. He had completed fifty years of unbroken service as a member of the council, of which he was vice-president since 1907 until August, when he was succeeded by the late Sir Charles Clegg.
