In an exhibition golf mutch this afternoon the visiting South African, Bobhv Locke, and the former New Zealand open champion, Alex Murray, finished all square against J. L. Mackny and G. E Ussher, of the Timuru club. The Timaru players were two up at the turn, hut lost the tenth and eleventh holes. Ussher finished with 70, the par of the course, and Locke was credited with 70. allowing him two putts within 15 feet where he did not hole out Locke was a model of consistency ami was always on the fairway. Ussher play ed one of his best games, .kip putting lapse at the tenth being the only blemish. Though Murray was always up witlT the play, mainly through good recoveries, his timing was at fault off the tees. Mackav has been seen to better advantage.
