MAITAI CLUB

COMPETITION ENTRIES CLOSE ON SATURDAY About 50 members were present at the Maitai Bowling Club's green on Saturday when friendly games were played. Players wishing to make the trip to Seddon on the 19th November are requested to hand in their names to the secretary, Mr M. McLeod. At present there are five rinks making the trip but it is hoped to increase that number to seven before final arrangements are made.

Players are reminded that entries for ciub competitions Will close on Saturday next. Competitions will be again run on the two-life system, but an innovation will be the double-ended chart method of recording the results of these matches. The green at present is in fine condition and it is hoped that members will again co-operate in an endeavour to preserve the young growth which requires very careful treatment, particularly at this time of the year.
