CABINET MEETING
WORK ON SUPERANNUATION SCHEME BEGUN [By Telegraph—Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. Cabinet yesterday met to begin the task of formulating its for the national superannuation legislation. It sat both in the morning and afternoon.
In an interview last evening the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage. said that superannuation alone had been discussed during the day. It represented, he said, a wide field; very much wider than the man outside would imagine.
“We have got to get finality about the foundation principles on that before we tackle anything else,” the Prime Minister continued “We all know what result we want. Just how we are going to get there is not so easy.”
Mr Savage said Cabinet would meet again on Monday
