SOUTH AUSTRALIA BEATS QUEENSLAND BRISBANE, 11th January. In the Sheffield Shield cricket match against South Australia, Queensland in their second innings lost eight for 155 —Cook 21. Bowling: Ward took five for 65. The game was held up until 5 p.m. owing to the wet wicket. South Australia won on the first innings by 206 runs.
