BIG RENEWAL PROGRAMME

RUGBY, 19th December.
The London, Midland, and Scottish Railway is spending £2,000.000 next year on a permanent way renewal programme, including the complete relaying of 605 miles of tracks. Orders for 95,000 tons of British steel are to be placed.
