OBITUARY!
MR M. E. PEW. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) NEW ; YORK, 16th October. The death is announced of Marlen Edwin Pew; magazine editor and publisher, aged 58 years. MADAME ALBANESI (Received 17th October, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, 16th October. The death has occurred of Madame Albanesl. Madame Albanesi was a well-known authoress. MR JAS. H. MENTIPLAY (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The death occurred suddenly of Mr James Hay Mentiplay, the oldest living member of the Wellington Bowling Club, aged 78 years. He came to New Zealand from Chile when about seven years of age. Later he joined the Bank of Australasia and then the Bank of New Zealand. He was president of the Wellington Bowling Club in 1909 and 1910, and secretary from 1896 to 1902. He rolled the first ball at the opening jubilee day of the club last Saturday. He was three times married. Tie is survived by a widow, and leaves a son and daughter.
