MR WALTER JOHN ELLIOTT (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SYDNEY, 20th June. Mr Walter John Elliott, a former Chief Inspector of secondary education in New South Wales, who died suddenly at Strathfield, aged 69 years, was the father of Mr Ronald Elliott, lecturer in Classics' at the University of New Zealand.''
ME W. L DOUGLAS News has reached Sydney of the -death of Mr W;. J- Douglas, general manager of Fullers’ Theatres Limited, which occurred in London while on a tour. Mr Douglas formerly represented Fullers at Wellington, New Zealand. He became ill in Berlin and was conveyed to England in an ambulance aeroplane piloted by Hans Bertram, one of the two German aviators who, when lost in Northern Australia some time ago, were rescued under sensational circumstances. FORMER WRESTLING CHAMPION ROCHESTER Minnesota), 20th June. The death has occurred of Jim Browning, aged 32 years, a former world’s heavyweight wrestling champion. Death was due to pulmonary embolism.
