On resumption the Riwaka forwards, who were now combining better, set up a hot attack, the Moutere defence being fully tested. WOMEN’S MATCH RIWAKA V. NGATIMOTI Hockey players have been extremely foitunate in the matter of weather conditions and another perfect day was enjoyed on Saturday, when Riwaka met Ngatimoti at Motueka. Riwaka proved too strong on the day’s play and ran out the winners by eight goals to one. Ngatimoti are to be commended on their keenness, as they did not let up at all and were still working hard at the final whistle. The game was at no time uninteresting, and with more practice together the country players would develop into a really good team. The Riwaka team played very well together and, on the day’s play, shouid be formidable opponents for Moutere when they meet. Mr H. H. Smith controlled the game.
