KING GEORGE MEMORIAL
FUND OVER £85,000 (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, 18th June. With a donation of £5,000 from the proprietors and company of the Bank of England, the Lord Mayor’s fund for the King George National Memorial passed the total of £85,000. Not less than 50 per cent, of the money subscribed by the public will be devoted to the provision of playing fields. In making a gift of £2,000 to the King George Memorial Fund, th» Pilgrim Trustees intimate that when the fund exceeds £200,000, they will be glad to add £IOOO for every complete £IOO,OOO raised thereafter.
