ITe returned to his place on Sunday evening and was horrified to find the homestead a mass of smoking ranis. No body was left in charge of tho bouse, which was last seen by a neighbour intact at 5 o'clock on Saturday evening. Situated at the back of the hills it would be difficult for the flames to be seen It is thought the fire occurred during Saturday night.
