- CANTERBURY VISIT POSTPONED NELSON CLUS’S ANNUAL MATCH IN BLENHEIM The Canterbury Tennis Association lias notified the Nelson Association that t he proposed visit for Ist February will bo indefinitely postponed owing to the inability of some players to make the trip and the closeness of representative matches in Christchurch. A very strong team had been chosen, including 0. Angus and. Diamond ranking Ist and 3rd in Canterbury, and Arnold, top player for the Cathedral Club. Miss M. Wake, who for many years has been prominent in first class tennis, was the best of the lady members. The Nelson Lawn Tennis Club’s visit 10 Blenheim which was cancelled owing to the Canterbury match will now take place as formerly arranged. The follow, jug have been selected to represent the club; Ladies—Mesdames McLaren and Colvin, Misses O'Donnell. Oldham Cox--11 ill. ,1. Hunter, N. Lee, M. Fletcher, A. Bono, Stephens, A. Leggo. The club dance which had been arranged to entertain the visiting players on Saiurday will not take place.
