NELSON AGAIN LEADS OFFICIAL FIGURES FOR 1835 Again it has been demonstrated that if the weather happens to be unfavourable in Nelson it is usually worse elsewhere. When Nelson’s sunshine figures for 1935 were published on 2nd January it was found they were considerably below those of 1934, and there was naturally some conjecture regarding Nelson’s sunshine supremacy. However, IJr. Kidson, Director of the Meteorological branch of the Department of Industrial and Scientific Research, has now supplied the official figures for New Zealand, and these again demonstrate Nelson’s supremacy, although Nelsons figure for 1935 was 2510.5 hours compared with 2558.8 for 1934. The figures for 1935 are as follow:
