DAIRY PRODUCE
PLANS FOR MARKETING NO DETAILS DISCLOSED . [By Telegraph—Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. Further consideration was given at a special meeting of Cabinet yesterday afternoon to plans for the marketing of dairy produce both within New Zealand and overseas in relation to the Government’s scheme of guaranteed prices. The question had been tlie subject of discussion- at previous meetings of Cabinet and also of the Dairy Board and at conferences between representatives of the board and the Ministry. No details of the scheme, however, have been disclosed, although it lias been gathered that the marketing proposals are closely associated with the Government’s policy of guaranteed prices. After a fairly long sitting of the Cabinet yesterday the Prime Minister Hon. M. J. Savage, said: “We haw discussed the question of dairy produce marketing, and decided to make certain recommendations to the Dairy Board. No statement will be made until after the board has given consideration to Cabinet’s recommendations. Nothing would be gained by commenting on tlie position before finality has been reached.”
