THEFT OF CLOTHING
MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL C [liy Telegraph—Pres* Association] WELLINGTON, 18th December. Charged with breaking and entering the shop of Olga Pool, and the theft of women’s clothing, dress material and infant’s clothing, valued at £34 4s 9d, Eric John Jones, aged 26, labourer, pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. Minnie O’Connor was charged with receiving clothing valued at £2l Is. and pleaded guilty. She-was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months. Percy William Mills aged 24, carrier, was charged with obtaining sheen, skins and hides, of a value of £9B 6s from Daniel McTaggart of Feathevston, by falsely representing that he was buying as agent for the Miuiawatu Skill , and Hide Company. He pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
