BRITISH DUTY ON SILK
NOT TO BE REPEALED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY. 17th December. In a Parliamentary reply Mr Neville Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced that it was not his intention to propose the repeal or reduction of customs duties on raw si k or of the excise duly on artificial silk, at any rate before the end of March 1937. '
