TAHUNA V. VICTORY GATES BOWLS WELL At Trafalgar Park Tahuna defeated Victory by four wickets and 80 runs on the first innings, Victory being dismissed for 69 runs to which Tahuna replied with 150 for six wickets. Tahuna owe their win chiefly to the excellent bowling of G. Gates', who took seven wickets for 30 off nine overs, catching three off his own bowling. In their second innings Victory put up a much better showing having put on 70 for the loss of one wicket when time was called. Batting for Tahuna R.. Veysey compiled 38, F. ITobern 34 not out, Les. Taylor 31 not out, G. Gates 21, and J. Gaskell 10. Chief scorers for Victory were J. Du Feu 34 not out, 0. Du Feu 37 not out, and 0. Campbell 17 not out. Bowling: Tahuna—G. Gates seven wickets for 30 runs and one for 7, J. Gaskell one for 7, and F. Ilobern one for 19. Victory —J. Du Feu three for 35 off 14 overs, M. Alborough two for 34, F. Reid one for 35.
