QUESTION OF TOUR A REQUEST DEFERRED (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association deferred for one mouth a request from the Otago centre for permission to invite three Victorian athletes to tour .the district during tlie Christmas holidays. The chairman, Mr Austad, said there was a very vital matter of policy involved. He felt that good would come out of the tour, but also thought that consideration should be deferred until next meeting when the question of a tour of New Zealand hy an overseas team would he discussed together with the policy in regard to major tours. The chairman’s suggestion was adopted by five, votes to four.
