MANAWATU RETAIN TROPHY AN UNFINISHED MATCH (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N., 19th March. Although the umpires were not in favour of play, the captains agreed to resume the Hawke Cup match at 4.20 p.m., and at 6.30 Manawatu had lost eight wickets for 195 runs in reply to Southland’s 208. There the match terminated, Manawatu retaining the trophy.
